We live in a time of controlled peace. But that is not our natural state. Many times in our history, it has taken Atalantian efforts to maintain our harmony against the agents of chaos. But we do not hide from them, we face them with perseverance and unyielding determination.
The threat inside
The first defence against any threat is awareness. It is everyone’s duty to be aware of threats with our own communities and societies. The biggest threat are the extremists and their recruitment techniques, insidious with promises of power, and false notions of chaos, which they brand as freedom. Freedom is the choice to protect our institutions and peace. War and terrorist attacks are not freedom. If you have any concerns about anyone in your area, simply notify your local Aegis Officer.
The threat outside
Several parts of our world are not part of the republic. Over our history we have brought grace and civilization to over 90% of the world’s population. The greatest civilization the world has ever seen and the longest period of global peace ever experienced. Brave members of the Artemesian Corps, serve to protect the republic from external threats.
